Yup, the champagne corks are great if the end"knob" isn't too big and gets knocked off/out or broken. Shore look good on those patina'd nifty classic machines. Harvey: Wine corks are style man approved! Be nice if you could form the exposed end somewhat dome shape, and then paint to match bike, saddle, or whatever, to spiff it out. > So, it's time to tape the bars of the ca. 1950 Andy Hamel I got from Eddie Albert and had powdercoated. While getting the bike sorted out, I've been riding with naked bars and temporary cork bar plugs. I hope I didn't offend the vintage spirits: when I pulled them out tonight to tape the bars, I discovered that I'd absentmindedly used off-topic plastic corks instead of the KOF versions. At least I hadn't taped Thunderbird caps on with duct tape. :-) > > The bright red Hamel is getting matching tape. > > harvey sachs > mcLean va > (I do like using wine corks for bar ends) > _______________________________________________ > Classicrendezvous mailing list > Classicrendezvous@bikelist.org > http://www.bikelist.org/mailman/listinfo/classicrendezvous
