Subject: [CR] Duravia Now Fully Fitted

I've added some more photos of the 1954 Duravia/Mecadural aluminum randonneur, now fully fitted with racks, bags and lights. If I'm able to pick up some workable hammered ally dynamo lights I may eventually supplement the battery lights with dynamo lighting, but for now the bike is complete:

The Velo Orange Constructeur rear rack is pretty and looks appropriate on the 1954 bike, but it was a chore to fit. Fitting these racks that secure to metal mudguards is always an exacting job, as the rack must be cut and drilled precisely so the height matches up to the mudguard. The newer VO version of this rack is predrilled, but Murphy's Law dictates that the hole you need will be midway between two of the predrilled one. I drilled an additional hole low on the left rack leg to mount a VARTA/JPR rear flashlight with a red lens.

The front rack is a TA mounted to the Mafac Dural Forge brake. I've fitted a Velo Orange "Champagne" front bag, supported by a VO decaleur, stem mount version. Because the stem has a vertical bar clamp bolt, I had to bend the end of the decaleur about 90 degrees, then drill it for the bolt. I've use a VARTA/JPR light bracket on the TA frond rack also, but because the little VARTA lights aren't super bright, I've used a classic looking but much brighter modern LED flashlight from Lowe's.

Rear panniers are Carradice grocery pannier right and Super C pannier left.
