I was at both T-town events and enjoyed them very much. You see I am a
collector that is maturing. Have you ever seen the stages of a bicycle
collector. Someday I may post them here but for the record I am nearing
post graduate work by now really getting into the classic road stuff. I
have been through it all and wanted to remind some of you to not get too
heady. I like others made it to T-town and waited on line with a lot of
other folks. I did not buy much but that was because I either have what
was there or it was sold before I asked for it. I will have to buddy up
with some of you who gate crash so I can get into some of the early deals.
I still had a great time but next year I might wear a sign so I can be
identified as a CR member because I am new and not yet identifiable. They
do know me in the balloon and antique world and graduation is near. Some
of my thesis work is in the form of a 50s Hetchins, a 30s Dei Umberto with
Vittoria Margerita changer, 60s Raleigh Competition with full Huret
Jubilee, both first year Schwinn Varsity and Continental with suicide
shifters and of course the Rene Herse tandem. I also have an assortment of
others that I will not bore you with. I am slowly moving my collection
towards these lightweights but they are still well outnumbered. Just
wanted to say I enjoy this forum very much and learn a lot. Keep it fun
and like everyone I have an opinion. I would rather read about a bike, a
part or an adventure that some of you have had rather than ten postings on
how to pronounce a word, but that's just me.Cheers
