I agree with you. If you measured it, and it is 24.5" c-c then that's what it is, right? There are tons of *potential* buyers out there who *think* so and so only made such and such in certain years (I'm one of them). Most of the time they don't know what they're talking about. But, even if he does know what he's talking about (and I'm also with you, in that you don't want to lose him if he really is thinking of bidding), Just tell him you'll do some research, but, if he's *really* a potential bidder, this is the measurement. No matter what some Trk catalog says. How do I know? I measured it! ;-)
