The vast majority of Ross Signature bikes were mass produced, with nice ishwata tubing and beautiful paint. IIRC they were designed by Kellogg or Redclay I get those two mixed up. I got one for my girlfriend in 1985 for $240, aqua blue with silver panels, generic Shimano components. They had a red model for $20 less without rear quick release and some other minor detail. My sister bought one of those. At the 1987 Long Beach show I got a trade catalog which listed ASAHI industries which I think is taiwanese. They had identical bikes and I would guess was the contractor for these. There of course were the limited production hand built bikes, I believe there were two models, but I can't remember the details other than they were built in PA by Redclay or Kellogg. I really was impressed with the cheaper two compared to the competitive bikes at the time. Brian in Berkeley
