Subject: [CR]Re: travel with bikes

We have an S&S daVinci tandem, which uses very light 26" deep dish wheels; it fits into 2 airline sized cases and we have had no trouble flying with it recently. I have a Bike Friday that was made to measure for my 6'5" bod...I took the angles and sizes from my '75 Motobecane Le Champion and had BF make my Pocket Rocket to these dimensions. Close my eyes(briefly) and I'm back on French steel. No problems flying with it over Thanksgiving holidays this year. In both examples it is the wheel size that keeps the suitcase(s) within the size limitations. Perhaps there is an untapped market for a classic lugged 650B wheeled steel frame built with S&S for classic list voyagers? Doug Wagner Richmond,KY
