Folks, if you want to hammer join the local chain gang and go chasing around your local training route at 23 per. If you want to take your old bike out with other old bikies don't hammer. Vintage rides should be NO DROP rides. They're supposed to be fun, not serious training. Thus endith the lesson. Phil Brown Ride scheduled today but rained out in San Rafael, Calif and I'm jealous of the Rose bowl ride ------------------------------

In fairness to the guys that rode at the front, the pace was not too high. I was having a bad day and Ann graciously dropped back to make sure I hadn't gotten run over by a bus or something. *I* wouldn't have wanted to ride with me today.
