hiya gang,

So I'm not the only person who's filed the "MKS" off of some dustcaps?! Yeah, once you start polishing aluminum, you just want to make everything shiny and pretty/prettier.

While the MKS dustcaps are cheap, affordable, and durable, they aren't the only alternative to the original Campy dustcap. As you might expect, Zeus made a great little dustcap! And in true Zeus fashion, it's 99% compatible with the Campy stuff. In this case, it threads into the pedal just fine, but you can't use the Campy wrench 'cause the Zeus dustcap has a *slightly* larger diameter.

To see just how nice these dustcaps look, just peek at this:

For comparison, the other pedal on that Olmo has the original dustcap which looks like this: http://tinypic.com/tyyz4

I picked up my Zeus dustcaps in a not-so-local bike shop. It was in Ciclos Domingo in Castellon, Spain. Just a bit north of Valencia, in case BC decides to make a trip. Oh.. remember to ask the owner about "antiguas", and he might show you the nifty bike upstairs. Single speed, very relaxed geometry, and has one of those cool chain oilers built into the seat tube. :-)
