I am sure that Mark means well but I can not understand telling someone that is selling a bicycle on EBAY that it is more valuable than he thinks. If the lister asked you for an evaluation before they listed that is fine but to see an auction that you are not even bidding on and then notify them is really ruining it for someone that is after a great bargain.

I posted the following question to the seller "It would be very helpful if you could add a close-up photo of the rear derailleur. If that really is a '67 1st-gen Nuovo Record, that derailleur alone is worth more than the rest of the bike. Does it look like this: http://bulgier.net/pics/bike/Campy/NuovoRecord_67_closeup.html ?"

He replied "Yes it does look like the one you referenced. It is "Patent" only, no date w/the more pronounced knurling on the pivot cover and bolt."

Still no photo of it though.
