Hi CR folks,

The response to my offer to sell reprints of my old publication, the Vintage Racing Bicycle Newsletter, was quite overwhelming. Needless to say, I hit the minimum number I needed to justify the project.

So to everyone who emailed me (I did not respond to the emails, I just saved them and took names), please hold tight and I'll try to get them done in the next 7 to 10 days. When the sets are completed, I'll email everyone with confirmation that their set is waiting. Payment and shipping will happen then.

Now, if anyone else is interested who did not respond to my original posting, just let me know in the next couple of days. I'll be getting the master ready and the actual printing (copying) will happen no sooner than the end of the week.

Some folks have inquired about scans and clean ups and all sorts of things. It would all be nice, and I've thought of it, but I know my time constraints and I know how ugly the originals are. It just doesn't make sense to open the giant can of worms. They will be as they will be I'm afraid.

Thanks again!

> I've had a request for backissues to the defunct newsletter I used to write -

\r?\n> the Vintage Racing Bicycle Newsletter. I published this when I owned Bicycle

\r?\n> Classics Inc. many years ago. The newsletter was started at the begining of

\r?\n> 1994 and ran through 1999. The articles were pretty crude, the graphic quality

\r?\n> was terrible, the spelling even worse. But it retrospect the newsletters track

\r?\n> the development of our hobby in its early days. There were 17 issues (I think,

\r?\n> I only have through 17), each about 10 pages long (including the mailing page).

\r?\n> I'm thinking of reproducing these - some of which will look even worse then they

\r?\n> originally did due to second generation reprints.

\r?\n> But - if your not scared away, and you want early articles on things like Masi,

\r?\n> Confente, Herse, Austro Daimler, Hetchins, frame construction, Campagnolo stuff,

\r?\n> and articles from some of the well known folks who frequent the CR list, please

\r?\n> email me.

\r?\n> I think I would reprint the pile, and sell it as a big bound volume (about 190

\r?\n> pages) and charge about $30 or so.

\r?\n> If interested, please email me, so that I can figure if/how many to run.

\r?\n> Also, there were some folks who may not have taken up the offers to redeem

\r?\n> unused portions of subscriptions for cash or parts when publication ceased. If

\r?\n> you are owed anything from then (5 years ago), let me know and hopefully I can

\r?\n> make it up to you with reprints or something else.
