Just received an NOS Ideale model 87 saddle I bought on eBay.  I'm fascin ated by the huge range of models Ideale made, which seems to dwarf the numb er of Brooks offerings.  It rather amazes me that many Ideale models stil l go cheap, despite the fact they went out of business a couple of decades ago.  This circa 1980 NOS one was $65, doubt you could get an NOS 1980 B1 7 for that.  I also just bought a mod 44, which appears to be 50's, or ev en older, for less than $60.  The alloy rail Ideales do command high pric es, but most other Ideales do not.

Anyone know much about the mod 87?  Was this a model between 80 and 90?   The shape appears near identical to mod 90.  Also, it has all copper rivets like mod 90, whereas mod 80's often have steel rivets except one to three at the nose.  What bikes did mod 87 appear on?
