I have just added two albums to the Wool Jersey site which may be of interest to some CR members - one containing a number of pictures of the early Merckx with De Rosa bottom bracket shell that I sold a couple of weeks ago and some pictures of an early 80s De Rosa Stayer bike I picked on Italian Ebay back in October and have only just got around to reassembling. Interestingly this has forks which are engraved Eddy Merckx and would appear to be original to the frame - the links between the De Rosa and Merckx factories must have been extremely close in the early 80s... and for some time after Merckx had his factory up and running.
