Tange Levin CDS Headset Races sell as spares for roughly $4.50/ea.

However, the new ones I think are too low-profile to replace a Campy headset race. Perhaps with a thin spacer, they can probably replace a pitted Campy lower race?

The pitted lower race usually has most of the damage (at least, this is the case in my ~5 pitted headsets.) That, plus adding a ball bearing, rotating the lower cup, etc., might get you back on the road with minimal 'indexing'.

If you are interested in going this route, let me know and I'll take some measurements tonight in my garage with my spare Tange Levin CDS race.

Does someone on the CR list know of another higher-profile crown races available from modern cup-and-bearing headsets that would work with Campagnolo Record Steel headsets?
