Cobalto brakes were Anniversary group brakes (calipers arms with a triangular profile) with a blue (plastic) stone to replace the 24k gold seal set in the nut of the caliper pivot bolt.
The Anniversary group came out in 1983. Cobaltos came out after the introduction of C-Record in 1985 to replace the first Delta brakes when they were recalled. Cobaltos are part of the C-Record group.
