I remember the Ideale 2000 as being the plain plastic, the 2001 being leather over plastic, and 2002 being padded leather over plastic. Was the 2003 an extra padded touring model? The unpadded 2001 was my favorite saddle until I started riding concors. Its also the reason why I stubbornly say padding has little to do with comfort, although I know some might disagree.
